Public annual reports to observe trends in the digital publishing industry
The National Press and Publications Agency published the Annual Report of China ' s Digital Publishing Industry, 2024-2025, which provides an integrated approach to digital content, immersion in reading and publishing.
A public presentation by the National Press and Publications Agency, China Digital Publishing Industry Annual Report 2024-2025, was published during the fifteenth China International Digital Publishing Fair. The report presents a diverse pattern of the digital publishing industry in terms of digital content, voice reading, screen reading and cloud-based services, and points out that the integration of publications is entering a more advanced stage of development.
The value of digital publishing lies not only in changes in content carriers, but also in changes in the way content is organized and knowledge services provided. The two-dimensional code extension, audio-visual presentations, interactive reading and specialized databases all need to be based on stable content quality, clear copyright boundaries and sustainable operational mechanisms.Artificial intelligence can assist in the completion of content labelling, retrieval and multi-modular first drafts, but is not a substitute for content auditing and product responsibility.
The present paper draws on and summarizes trends in public reporting and does not extend industry reporting data to the Commission ' s own statistics, nor does it rank or evaluate specific publishers.
