Artificial intelligence and universal reading: from tool application to reading services
Open industry reports discuss paths that combine artificial intelligence with universal reading, emphasizing synergies between reading services, digital culture and reader needs.
China ' s universal reading network has publicly reported that it has conducted industry exchanges around artificial intelligence-enabled reading for all to discuss how artificial intelligence can be combined with reading promotion, content discovery and digital cultural services. For publishers, the changes brought about by artificial intelligence are not just recommended algorithms or content generation, but also the way in which readership services, knowledge retrieval, reading experience and public cultural resources are organized.
The intellectualization of reading services requires that the reader ' s experience and the quality of content be placed in an equal position. The recommended results should provide an indication of the source and the scope of application, knowledge questions and answers should provide, to the extent possible, a verifiable basis, and the generating responses should avoid expressing uncertain information as a fact of fact.In the case of minors and public cultural services, special attention needs to be paid to content security, privacy protection and age-appropriate use.
For public cultural institutions, the use of technology should also preserve manual service access, take care of readers of different ages and digital capabilities, and avoid turning convenience tools into new thresholds for use. This paper is organized on the basis of public industry information and is intended to provide an observational perspective on the integration of publications and does not represent a reading project that has been carried out by the working committee.
